As the saying goes, the devil is in the detail – and if you really want to raise the spirits this Hallowe’en, a creepy cocktail always hits the spot. Cast a spell with a glass of something dangerously delicious…
Lucifer’s Margarita
Ingredients:
- 50ml blood orange gin
- 20ml lime
- 10ml honey
- Dash of Tabasco (optional)
- Chilli horns to garnish
Method:
- Half-fill a cocktail shaker with ice
- Add the ingredients and shake for 10 seconds
- Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with sliced chilli horns.
Violets Kill
Ingredients:
- 40ml spiced rum
- 15ml Crème de Violette
- 25ml lime juice
- 10ml sugar syrup
- Egg white
- Two raspberries to garnish
Method
- Add the ingredients to a cocktail shaker and dry shake (no ice)
- Then shake again with ice
- Double strain into a coupe glass and garnish with two raspberries.
Hallowe’en Bobby Burns
Ingredients:
- 50ml Scotch
- 25ml sweet vermouth
- 5ml Benedictine
- 2 dashes of Peychaud Bitters
- Lemon peel twist to garnish
Method:
- Half fill a cocktail shaker with ice
- Add the ingredients, shake vigorously and strain into a chilled coupe glass
- Garnish with a fresh lemon peel twist
