WeeBox Meet the Maker – Holeyn Photography, Rebecca Atack

Special Memories Forever in the Frame

Capturing all the joy of a couple’s wedding is no easy task, but ‘storyteller of photography’ Rebecca Atack delights in immortalising the most wonderful of days

Rebecca Atack runs wedding photography business Holeyn Photography for couples in love across Scotland and beyond. “My style is natural, whimsical, joyful, creative, romantic and relaxed” she explains. “I’m a sensitive soul, I put my heart into my craft, and there is love in what I do.”

She worked as a theatre director for over 15 years which provided a strong background in the arts and naturally enhanced her creative flare: “The art scene has given me a wonderful knowledge and understanding which I now bring to my wedding photography. I connect, I observe, and I see, meaning you get the best possible outcome.”

Rebecca uses the full range of Scottish settings to create images: “I adore sunshine and sunsets, and working with gorgeous natural light. I love all those little candid moments of pure joy and I aim to capture the real moments. Once you open your eyes to the possibilities you see these little details of love everywhere.

I’m a storyteller of photography, I aim to tell a love story in an artistic way which reflects you as a couple; this normally starts with a get-together over a cuppa where I can get to know you both. I also like to spend time getting to know your treasured guests, all your friends and family bring their own joy and make up the story of your wedding day.

“I enjoy the art of conversation, I listen and respond organically to what’s happening around me. Therefore, by combining many years experience in the world of theatre with my creative eye and technical capabilities, I’m able to observe and capture all the beautiful moments of your special wedding day.”

Rebecca will be capturing the winner’s trip as part of our Win a Trip to Scotland competition.
